Well I survived the weekend! Dee went to Sydney on the weekend and left me with the three Kiddies. Friday kicked of with out to much drama, Herb ran from me when I dropped him off at School which was a relief!! Ruby complained that it was boring to drop Herb at school before her as his was’nt a real school. When I dropped Ruby at school I realized I had dressed her in the wrong uniform “it was sports day”. Cash was his Cruisey self running Buzz light year through his full repertoire in the back seat of the car.

Swam at the yeronga park pool “Sprint Day” didnt have it in me. managed 50 metres of butterfly then resorted to Freestyle for the rest!! the rest of the day was spent doing recipes for the Good food and Wine Show in June.

Dinner went down a treat!!! harvested a load of Basil from the garden and made my own pesto, I find Cashew nuts a cheaper and frankly better option than pine nuts in my pesto! Ruby chopped the green beans and diced potatoes for the Pasta “a la Genovese” After dinner we made Brownies for Uncle Neils birthday.

Saturday ruby had dancing. I sent her there with out shoes or brushing her hair!! BAD DAD. Picked her up at 11am and shot of to Byron Bay!!

Chilled in Byron for the weekend, went fishing with auntie Katie and Poppy Wicks. Ruby hooked up a nice bream and I caught a few but no keepers!! Lunch at the Brunswick hotel, Very Average fish!! great day!! Kid went feral and I pretended they belonged to someone else. Herb grazed his knee and screamed his head off. Que time to leave!!

Great drive home from Byron, kids sleeped the whole way home “to easy” omolette for dinner with salad. Mum finally home from Sydney and the Kids kick off!!  Be nice if Dee went away more often.
